Have you noticed anything new around these parts? *wink, wink* Seeing that it was a new year and that I have been writing this lovely little blog of mine for just over a year(!) I thought it was time for a bit of freshening up. I teamed up with a very talented artist and designer, Michelle Vinson of Peridot Designs, Inc. and the blog Sweet Relish. She is a long time friend and I am over the moon on the beautiful things she has done with My Retro Kitchen! I feel like I have a pretty new dress on and i am just dying to go out on the town to show it off. Thank you so much Michelle for your beautiful work, I am in love! Head on over to her blog for a little inspiration on design, sweet musings of her family and other fun stuff. It's an excellent add to your reader.
You can find Michelle's button on my sidebar for all your future design needs!
The gift set you are trying to win is a copy of Best of the Best Vol. 11: The Best Recipes from the 25 Best Cookbooks of the Year by the editors of Food and Wine Magazine. It showcases recipes from chefs like Bobby Flay, Jamie Oliver, Alice Waters, Giada De Laurentiis, Melissa Pasanen with Rick Gancarelli, Paula Disbrowe, and so many, many more! This is a fantastic series, picking some of the best recipes out of some of the best cookbooks. It saves you time by putting all the great stuff in one place- how fun is that?! It is a wonderful addition to your cookbook collection and will quickly become a favorite in your kitchen.
The second item is a fun and very "retro" inspired apron. One of my favorite accessories in the kitchen is my collection of aprons. Not only will you look adorable while cooking, perfect when you have a house full of guests and last minute, finishing touches to do for dinner, but you don't want to ruin that pretty new dress! Now guys out there, girls love aprons, so if you enter my giveaway and happen to win, please pass this lovely onto a special lovely in your life. She will adore it!
